Study Abroad Sem 2 2021 currently being assessed by QUT
QUT is very keen to welcome international students back when possible. The process of returning international students to Queensland will require the development and approval of an ‘International Student Arrivals Plan’. Overall there is a range of both commonwealth and state government approvals needed.
As it stands, it does not look like QUT will be able to host international students in the Study Abroad program in the second half of 2021.
Along with other Queensland universities, QUT is working with the Queensland State Government on the design of an International Student Arrivals Plan for Queensland. We are hopeful that this plan can be finalised and approved, in time for some students to return to Australia later in 2021 but cannot guarantee that it will.
However, the students can start their studies from their home country as many units are being delivered online and once travel restrictions are lifted, and the students can travel to Australia to attend face-to-face classes, which will follow social distancing guidelines.
